The Laws of Life

February 1, 2024

Taken from the esoteric writings of Henry T. Laurency

Laurency describes the seven most important laws of life for human kind. These laws of life (in contradistinction to the laws of nature) refer to mankind’s attitude to life, its meaning, goal, and view of mankind and man’s ways.
1. Law of Freedom
The law of freedom grants to man the right to be his own freedom and his own law, as long as he does not infringe the right of all beings to that same inviolable freedom.

2. The Law of Unity
Mankind is a collective unity. By contributing to unity the individual acquires the right to conditions that favour more rapid development.

3. the law of development
At the stage of civilization, the individual reaches farthest who, abandoning all the fictions of belief, lives but to help and serve without claims and expectations. In so doing (s)he awakens higher emotionality to show him the path.

4. The Law of Self, or Self Realization
Development is entirely up to each individual, learning from their experiences and working at their own pace and understanding.

5. the law of destiny
Our destiny is the result of our thoughts, ideas, feelings and actions throughout our many lives, weaving these links together into a thread leading to our own future.

6. the law of reaping
Good efforts will reap good results. Given that this law is always in effect, we can trust in life that our positive efforts will be rewarded, if not in this lifetime, then in future ones.

7. the law of activation
It is through our own efforts and activities that we have experiences to learn from. As we accumulate these life experiences, we learn to control our own consciousness, liberating ourselves from the cycles of illusion.
